Product Overview

Sony's PXW-Z300 XDCAM camcorder is built for agile news and production workflows, combining a three-chip 1/2-inch Exmor R CMOS sensor system with the BIONZ XR processor to capture finely detailed UHD 4K60 video with excellent color reproduction and very low noise. The integrated 17x zoom lens provides a versatile 30.3 to 515mm equivalent range with a constant f/1.9 aperture, while a dedicated AI processing unit delivers advanced subject recognition autofocus that stays locked on even when subjects are facing away or backlit.

Designed for solo operators, the camera features a high-brightness articulating touchscreen LCD on a flexible arm, an electronically variable ND filter for on-the-fly exposure control, and comprehensive connectivity including 12G-SDI output, HDMI, and USB-C PD power. With support for S-Cinetone and HLG looks, 4-channel audio recording, and direct streaming via RTMP/RTMPS and SRT protocols, the PXW-Z300 streamlines the entire process from capture to cloud delivery.
